Show "Reflections"

Andy that is a very interesting idea. I would never have guessed that this was a reflection. It has a very old time feeling to it, which I'm guessing is part reflection and part processing. Very well done and definitely not out of place here.

Kevin that is a stunning place - is that your new waterfront property? ;-) Absolutely breathtaking...and no kidding about that log walk?! Anymore to the story behind it?

Peter, very nice waviness in those many different reflections - great color, too.

Quite a heavy crop of the original image to show reflections in a water drop on the tip of a snowdrop flower.

Thanks, and yes it is the Wilson Bridge. They did a great job on the design and construction, and it has lived up to its expectations on relieving the daily gridlock that use to exist on the old bridge. They are still working on the exits, parks, and roads off of the beltway on either side of the bridge and that won't be done for a couple years, so we still some grid-lock occasionally. At the top of the bridge where you see the fence/rail, there is now a bike/pedestrian lane that ties into the existing bike paths on each side of the river. Behind the bridge in the background you can see the new National Harbor development, which is probably new also since you were here last.

Really nice John, have you tried it with the top of the bridge cropped off? It change the balance, keeps the eye on the the bottom better.

Hey everyone, there's some very stunning photos in this thread - very inspirational :) keep them coming.

This is one of my personal favs from my now sold Pansonic G1, I love how the water makes the reflection painterly:

The photo looks a little weird because it's been rotated 180 degrees.

Vince, I'm what...only over a week behind here...but I have to tell you that I think you must have been channeling Monet when you made that picture! You've definitely got an impressionist thing going on and those are break taking colors! I'd be interested to see it turned the other way - perhaps you have a version on your Flicker stream? I'll have to look.

Barrie, I think your Mallard was reflecting upon his happiness about the change in the seasons. :D Your rowboat and fence reflection makes me feel as though summer can't be too far behind. Is that your boat, perchance?
