You know what, it just hit me that this 'coffee' thing that you mentioned is the name of a particular effect used in post... which now makes sense because I asked about one of Don (streetshooter)'s photos that had a similar look and when he mentioned 'coffee' I thought he was making an abstract description about the look, ie. the photo looks like he spilled coffee on it.

Yeah, its one of the preset toning options in Silver Efex Pro. Sepia is another one. They're similar but not the same...

Thanks James. You got me to do some research. Whenever I think of Mr Meyerowitz, I think of CapeLight, large format color. It wasn't until I saw some recent pictures of him that it made sense to me. Maybe it is.
