Color Color photographs

thanks James
i seem to have seen a lot of B&W work with that lens, but not so much colour; very nice, and a lovely smeary quality to the oof highlights (I refuse to use the "b-word")

A couple hand-held HDR images with the GF2 & PL 45mm in Middleburg, VA.

Very subtle, John and very pretty. Were these taken recently - I only ask because I would have expected things to be a little bit farther along towards spring...but I probably need to look at a map to see where Middleburg is. What a great place that is!

Nice textures, light and shadows, pdh.

A couple weekends ago. Snow is gone but spring isn't quite here yet, but we are closer than you are. You might see bare ground by Memorial Day.

Middleburg is west of DC and Dulles Airport and is the center of the Virginia hunt country. A lot of quiet money, enormous estates, and a lot of horses. They also have some decent vineyards around Middleburg which is what I was there for...

Sounds good to me, John - the vineyards and the horses, especially if I might have the chance to go riding with someone on those estates....and then have a nice quiet glass of wine afterwards.:flypig:

Like it too Strato. Very pleasing lines, colours and light.

pdh I like the way the arc of the crowns of the trees follows the arc of the hill - and that intriguing little path to the right. Where does it go?

Pavel, I can see what drew you to that image, the cool light that wonderful yellow and the repetition of lines and spaces. pdh, thanks for posting both this color version and your black and white version, as well. For some reason, I prefer your B&W version, though that pathway that olli mentioned shows up better (to my eyes) in this one. I feel as though there's a story here, too.
