Sony Recommendations for Legacy Glass on the Sony A7R / A7 - lenses with character

I've been mulling over swapping out my M8 for and A7II for a while (but haven't yet been convinced either way) A factor is the ZM 25 Biogon which I absolutely love on the M8 - I seem to remember you used an M for a while, how does it compare putting it on a Sony?

Performing Arts Zombies in London (fake blood warning)

Got involved in a bit of fun over halloween, a mock up of a zombie apocalypse around the isle of dogs in London. Running around getting chased, trying to find survivors and gathering clues to find the next location! All quite entertaining, anyway there's no photos of the zombies up close...

    The Diamond Jubilee thread

Nice! I was around City Hall / the scoop at about 11am, but as the crowds started picking up, we went north of the river to get a better vantage point (to find somewhere dry and ideally unpopulated that sold food and beer) and it took about 40mins to cross London Bridge then - if we had got...

    The Diamond Jubilee thread

Hey everyone, I don't know who else was there yesterday - but I got the camera out and soaked in the mood; in addition to a fair bit of rain. Because London was so busy, once you had a spot, it was nigh impossible to relocate more than 10m to get a better angle on something, so if you were...

Thanks Paul, This postgrad lark is a killer, and I have discovered a deep and personal loathing for academic e-library portals; by the time I've finished with those, I don't want to be near the internet for a while. Yeah, the black and white one looked great from the moment I saw it on the...

Leica Showcase Leica M Image Thread

I shot a wedding as a favour last summer with the M8 & 50 sonnar (nikonos V as backup), it was pretty good. The B&G were originally going to forego a photographer entirely, so my wife volunteered me into the post. They were very happy with the results, and I'm still proud of a few of the...

Leica Leica to sell Black and White sensor "M" camera? (rumor)

I'll believe it when I see it - and if it does materialise - and accept M lenses; it will NOT be a budget item. I'm thinking M9 price minimum, and if limited edition, quite a bit more.

    Cycling to Uni

Yeah, I'm getting used to the M8 now. It's not always easy - but I've come to think that's half the point. Sometimes it sings. My wife lets me use it sparingly, so long as our outings stay "outings" and not "shoots" she's happy to have the moments recorded :-)
