I've been mulling over swapping out my M8 for and A7II for a while (but haven't yet been convinced either way) A factor is the ZM 25 Biogon which I absolutely love on the M8 - I seem to remember you used an M for a while, how does it compare putting it on a Sony?

Got involved in a bit of fun over halloween, a mock up of a zombie apocalypse around the isle of dogs in London. Running around getting chased, trying to find survivors and gathering clues to find the next location! All quite entertaining, anyway there's no photos of the zombies up close...

Thanks, The museum in the picture is actually the Natural History museum, not the Science museum, which is next door - and in the shade. I havent been using my UV/IR filters for ages now, although I religiously did when I started with the M8, and the colour cast issue does pop up but it doesn't...

A few from a research trip to the Science Museum in London - all with the 25 biogon I'm grappling with the wideness of this lens, it's apparently 33mm equivalent, but seems wider. After so long with the short tele of the Sonnar, its like learning photography all over again. Not many...

I've missed hanging out here - but sadly I have to submit a big piece of work to Uni on Friday; so this is a flying visit. New lens in the post arrived today, very good excuse for a bit of a break. I think this will constitute a fairly permanent two lens kit.

Yeah, I'm getting used to the M8 now. It's not always easy - but I've come to think that's half the point. Sometimes it sings. My wife lets me use it sparingly, so long as our outings stay "outings" and not "shoots" she's happy to have the moments recorded :-)
