so - i'm noticing an issue with my M6

when trying to focus - the center rf box is really washed out - making contrast focusing nearly impossible....

its nowhere near as bad on my M3 - is this a problem with the camera that can be fixed or is my RF mirrors trashed?

Is the RF box always washed out, ot does this happen only in certain lighting conditions?

Typically a good CLA of the camera will make things better, at least it did for my M3- got rid of internal haze in the finder.

Seems like always - indoors, there is a DRASTIC difference in the shade of the RF box vs the rest of the VF

Hold the camera facing you, shine a light into the viewfinder from behind. This should indicate if haze or desilvering is a problem. Sounds like time for a CLA.

Desilvering will be dark streaks under the glass. Haze- like looking at the inside of a car window.
