M8 IR

    As many of you know, the Leica M8 took a lot of criticism over its overly sensitivity to the IR spectrum. So much so that Leica would pay for two IR cut filters with every purchase of a new M8. I decided to experiment using this sensitivity to my advantage.... surprisingly usable! I was able to obtain hand holdable exposures in bright sunlight IR pass filter 092. All with an unmodified Leica M8. The sensitivity was addressed in the M9 which makes the M9 less suitable unmodified.

    This technique is on my list to try. I simply need to get a good IR pass filter. Thanks for the motivation.
