    Great photos and write-up!

    With photos like those and others, my guess is the X Vario might see a steady run up in devotees. :D

    I'm new to this forum and new to Leica (just got the D-Lux 109). Just read your review. Now you have me lusting after the XVario. I'm doing my best to resist the urge to tap "Add to my cart" on the B&H app. :daz:

    The D-Lux begins at f1.7 and the X-Vario at f3.5, so in less than ideal light, the XV might not get as good a photo if the ISO is 2 stops higher.

    As you noticed, I wasn't able to resist the urge. :biggrin: I see these 2 cameras as complementing one another. Right now, I intend to keep both. I'm going to take both on an upcoming ski trip. The D-Lux will come out on the slopes with me. I'd be too nervous skiing with the X Vario.
