I didn't find it easy to focus even using the evf but hope I managed to capture the flavour somewhat. The procession begins in the early evening and takes around 4 hours to complete the town circuit. The kids I photographed were really tired and fed up I think! It's a great community event and everyone turns out for it. People stop and talk to their family in the procession offering drinks and chat with old friends as they come by. Lots of people can be seen hanging over their balconies with friends watching. I missed the kids with their candles but by that time my husband had had more than enough ;)

I have the same problem with my kids when when I have a camera along: "Dad, c'mon!" ;)

Great series. The three young guys, one with the can of coke grabs grabs me most.

Nice series. Beautifully captured. Looks to me like you nailed the focus, but I'm curious as to why you don't use the rangefinder with the 50mm?

    Cheers,

I found that I used the rf much more than I thought I would in Spain simply because the evf didn't gain up much if at all in bright sunlight. Not sure if it's faulty but at times it became so dark it was impossible to see the image at all and I really did have to use the rf. It was good for me though! The procession at night was tricky for the evf because I tend to use a b & w jpeg which is what shows up in the evf and there wasn't enough contrast to focus. My rf focus at night was just way too slow to be useful :(
