At first, I really didn't felt comfortable the idea of shooting this country that is full of life and color with only a black & white camera, hence I also brought along another system (Micro 4/3s*) to complement my other shots. Overall, am satisfied with the combo, and would not hesitate to bring the MM again. Thanks for looking!

    Excellent stuff, Dave.

We were there a couple of years ago and I used a Leica II with Plus-X for the B&W fix - hadn't found the MM then. Might have to go back now ;)

Brian, thanks! I think the B&W element helps on that classic feel?

Thanks John... If I have to opportunity to go back, I will. I feel I can shoot all day long... Looking forward, if you get the chance to go there, please share some of your captures.

I use to travel often in India for business, and I never attempted to bring the M-E as I fear dust and humidity could entry and damage the camera..... Instead I bring with me the M7....
Your photos are really nice and encourage me to bring the M-E next time.... I like very much # 5 9 10 ... Which lens did you use?
    Cheers

    Dave,

Here is one of the better ones from last time - Leica II with Summar on Plus-X. I will look out some of the others.

    BEAUTIFUL images, Dave! Congratulations!

I do not feel for a second that your images have suffered because they were shot in B&W; I'd have to say just the opposite, in fact. Being shot in B&W sets them apart from the hundred billion color images of India that we have all seen.

I would love to have a Monochrom v.2, but at present I will continue to shoot with my M-P for color and my M4-P and Tri-X for my B&W work. I suppose converting my M-P color files to B&W is always a possibility...

really enjoyed your series, excellent work. at the end of the day, you miss elements you cannot retrieve if you shoot either b&w or color exclusively. both convey something different. its good to have with you the ability to capture both, as you did.

I've admired your posted images for years, here and over at mu-43. You have a unique style, one could call it a signature, that's very much present here as it is in the images that you post of the PI.

Guys, much appreciated with the replies and kind words! Yeah, I now have more confidence in shooting exclusively with B&W after this one. All the best!
