    I wonder why the author chose Capa's image at D-Day, which was taken with a Contax?

    There were a couple of still cameras using 35mm film out before the Leica, but these shot the native 18x24 format as did the cinema cameras. Jason Schneider wrote an article about them long ago. I've got it somewhere.

    An article about Capa and his use of Contax II cameras with 5cm lenses on D-Day. I found some online photographs of Capa using a Contax II with a 5cm F2 collapsible CZJ Sonnar. This article seems to imply that all of pictures included were taken with a Leica camera. I hope the author corrects this impression.
