I bought a few days ago a Zeiss Planar 45mm/2 (for the Contax G cameras) that has been adapted by Jim Buchanan to M mount. It cost me $750. I have such a lens in Contax G mount, and like many users of such lenses, I love using this lens as an AF lens on a film camera.
I tried out the Zeiss M lens on the M8. I was curious to see whether the 45/2 would perform as well as it does on the Contax G.
The lens seems to be housed inside a Minolta 55MC, using a Hawkes adapter for the helical. Jim reworked the helical with new lube and he black anodized it. he told me that such conversions take a lot of time.
wide open at f 2
I used this lens on the M9 in a room with low light. I set the ISO to 320, and the lens was wide open.
There were taken at slow exposure times and hand held.
The lens is sharp.
I went to Seville Quarter (Pensacola) at 2:30PM when there were hardly any customers there. I set the M0 to Auto exposure and the 45/2 to f 2.0.

After the MLK Parade, some activists got together with young people, for inspiration and for motivation.

This old piano in the corridor looked cool.
I really like having the 45/2 in M mount. It allows me to use this great lens on my M cameras.
Two great sets. Your daughters must be growing up fast - I know mine is.
That is a unique lens, and took some real work to RF couple.

We will be back there This Summer. Pool party at the Beach House and I will have Beer and Klondike Bars...
I've been rediscovering this lens today on the A7R and finding it makes a lovely smooth bokeh
Yes, they are growing up way too fast!
